ABU DHABI, UAE, September 29, 2025 – Global leader in digital and robotic automation R&D platforms, XtalPi Inc. (2228.HK), has signed a commercial cooperation agreement with the Sheikh Hamad Rakadh Salem Rakadh Office, a UAE royal entity, to establish the Middle East’s first automated laboratory for modernizing traditional medicine. The initial $30 million investment (phased by construction progress) will pioneer a new paradigm for traditional pharmaceutical R&D in the region. This marks XtalPi’s first large-scale export of its automated labs to the Arab world, aligning with the UAE’s UAE Net Zero 2031 National Investment Strategy to foster technology and emerging industries, setting a new benchmark for China-Middle East tech collaboration.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamad, Sheikh Salim, Sheikh Abdullah, Bureir Alameri, CEO of the Sheikh Hamad Office, XtalPi signing representative Wang Ruyu, and Jeson Zheng, Chairman of the UAE 2031 Vision Global Strategic Partners Center.

The lab project is slated to break ground in April 2025, serving drug R&D heritage and innovation in the Arab world by building a world-leading local pharmaceutical ingredient database and innovation platform. Backed by the UAE’s National Strategic Emerging Industries Transformation Agency, XtalPi will deepen ties with the UAE Ministry of Health and Drug Authority for multi-faceted collaborations, laying institutional foundations for R&D innovation management and approvals.

This partnership innovatively applies XtalPi’s high-precision, flexible scientist robot clusters and high-throughput data mining platform in drug discovery. Seizing overseas opportunities, XtalPi is building platforms for niche R&D scenarios and will collaborate with strategic partners to deepen integration of traditional heritage with modern tech, specialized knowledge, and general platforms—offering a “China solution” for such fusions.

Dr. Wen Shuhao, Chairman of XtalPi, stated: “This collaboration validates the globalization of China’s independently developed intelligent R&D systems and quality standards. We are building a pharmaceutical innovation corridor across Eurasia, making automation and data-driven paradigms the universal language for upgrading traditional medicine.”

Bureir Alameri, CEO of the Sheikh Hamad Office, added: “This partnership is a strategic milestone in the UAE’s embrace of a tech-driven future under the 2031 Vision, resonating ‘Made in China’ with the Middle East’s rich cultural heritage. We look forward to fusing UAE’s millennia-old medical wisdom with XtalPi’s cutting-edge robotic experimentation to establish a ‘gold standard’ for modernizing traditional medicine worldwide, delivering smarter, more diverse health solutions for 1.8 billion Muslims and humanity at large.”

Looking ahead, the project will leverage the UAE 2031 Vision to address public health priorities in the UAE and Arab regions, deepening collaborations with local health and drug authorities. XtalPi plans to expand into the Middle East and North Africa markets, empowering global pharmaceutical R&D with source innovation, digital, and automated upgrades, creating value across the health industry chain.

The Middle East boasts a rich history of traditional medicine and unique pharmaceutical systems, now embracing digitalization and robotic experimentation. XtalPi’s technology export meets local needs for efficient, standardized traditional medicine R&D while tapping into premium markets for consumer goods, health products, cosmetics, and fragrances via natural ingredient databases. It unlocks the vast halal industry blue ocean and, through international cooperation and standard co-creation, propels XtalPi from R&D infrastructure leader to global rule-setter.
